Madras Christian College is a wonderful Institution. However, only very little has come from this institution in regards to paintings and drawings for art purposes. Several in the Science programs at MCC learn geometry, light/color theory and draw for their studies, if this can be extended to arts, there exists a great potential with several benefits. This is just a personal opinion and with hope that at least a few interested alumni will pursue fine arts no matter how late in life. 1. Grab techniques first, then theory can always be learned later. 2. Paint parts of landscape details in mind more for practise. 3. Do 2 or 3 pieces atleast weekly. 4. Do colorchart 5. Use color chart from home 6. Create better 3D depth and perspective 7. Sketch to learn this initially if needed 8. Practice drawing all lines with brush 9. Learn and practice with different brushes 10. Try color pencils and watercolors before trying other media. 11. Try really hard landscapes in watercolor 12.
